Personal Work
Hope is an album of musical vignettes that directly opposes the nihilism and cynicism that we believe protects us from the random cruelty of an inherently dark universe.
Even in the absence of light, life carries on. And while destruction is natural, so too is it for us to create, to turn nothing into something.
Human beings all over the world, faced with poverty and violence, have created everything that makes our modern lives worth living, out of the scraps they could find - food, music, art, philosophy, tradition.
From death, life.
Creation is an act that shines a light upon the spiritual bankruptcy of those who make nothing and take everything.
